Walter Hapanovich served as a Senior Umpire for many years, and through his commitment and actions, he truly embodied the spirit of volunteerism within our organization. Walter’s unwavering dedication extended far beyond his umpiring duties; he was a constant presence at the ball field, always ready to support the game and the community in any way he could.

Walter’s love for baseball was matched only by his genuine care and compassion for the kids. His encouragement and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working with him. Walter’s devotion to the sport and to nurturing young players was evident in every interaction, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all involved.

Among the many memorable moments Walter shared with our association, one stands out in particular: the night he umpired a game alongside his son and grandson. This special occasion highlighted his lasting impact not only on the field but also within his family, demonstrating his deep commitment to both baseball and those closest to him.

On behalf of our entire association, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Paul, Michael, and the entire Hapanovich family during this difficult time. Walter will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His legacy as one of the best will live on in our memories and in the spirit of our organization.
