Game Changer

Game Changer

SMBA will be using Game Changer for our 2026 Season.

This platform is very user friendly and will allow fans at the fields and at home to follow along with the action!

SMBA will take care of all the set up! Every coach and player will receive a personal invite to join your team once all team rosters are complete.

Stephanie Schoenauer SMBA's VP of Communications and Mike Schoenauer SMBA's League Scheduler are the SMBA Admins for GameChanger.

Game Changer is a great platform for all team communication, league communication, scheduling and score keeping.

Mike spent time at the fields providing technical support with the transition to score keeping during our first week of the season and the feedback we have been receiving has been very positive.

We wanted to provide this easy-to-follow, step by step, guide to address some of the common concerns and issues that Mike has been helping troubleshoot at the field. You can review this guide HERE

GameChanger has a series of short videos to show you the basics that you can view at HERE

We have also added all that info to a Quick Reference Guide you can read HERE

One of our coaches also found a YouTube video their team found very helpful and shared it with us. Check it out if you want HERE

If you have any further questions or need additional help, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at gc@soominorbaseball.com.

Pros of Game Changer

- Scores are automatically uploaded

- People who cant make the game can still follow along

- Team Communication. This is a very big positive this year. Coaches and players can communicate as a group or one on one through the app while keeping private information      private.

- Organization Communication. The Scheduler will be able to send messages through game changer to each team about schedule updates.

- Schedule tracking and updates as changes occur.

Key things to keep in mind

9U - Each player is given 5 pitches at bat. When you are scoring your games score the first two pitches as balls and the last three pitches as strikes. That way if the player hits the ball on a pitch then it will be scored normally but if the player doesn't hit any of their pitches then the player will be out on the fifth pitch.

11U - Each at bat starts with 1 ball and 1 strike. You will manually have to input that at the start of each batter.

SMBA has run limits and batters per inning limits so make sure one of the things you review is how to end an inning before three outs.

Do not worry about recording errors or getting fancy. All we need are the scores!
