Soo Black Sox DS 13U — Sweep Northern Showcase

What a weekend for the Soo Black Sox DS 13U at the Northern Showcase!

The Black Sox finished the showcase with three straight victories, showing strong hitting,
pitching and base running throughout the weekend.

Game 1 — Black Sox 13, Sudbury 5
The Black Sox opened the showcase with a 13-5 win. Owen E was a perfect 3-for-3 with a
double, while Lucas S also went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs. Connor R, Silas J and JP B
added multiple hits, and JP B tossed two scoreless innings in relief. Owen E, Jason D and
Chance C each stole multiple bases as the Black Sox swiped 13 bases. Oliver T added a hit
and scored a run, while Oliver C also crossed the plate.

Game 2 — Black Sox 10, Sudbury 5
The Black Sox battled back from an early deficit to earn a 10-5 victory. Oliver C drew a walk
and came around to score, helping the Black Sox get back into the lead. Asher C delivered the
biggest hit with a three-run triple, while Chance C added an RBI single. Asher C and JP B each
drove in three runs, while Max P led the team with two hits. Cole S drew two walks, and
Connor R, Jason D and Owen E each stole multiple bases. Chance C earned the win on the
mound, with Jason D adding a relief appearance. Oliver T scored another run, while Oliver C
contributed two RBIs.

Game 3 — Black Sox 12, Sudbury 0
The Black Sox finished their three-game run with a dominant 12-0 shutout. Owen E and Lucas
S each drove in three runs, with Owen E collecting two hits and Lucas S delivering a three-run
double. Silas J also collected two hits, while JP B and Max P contributed RBI's. Cole S was
outstanding on the mound, allowing just three hits and no runs over four innings, while Max P
added a scoreless inning of relief. Jason D stole two bases. Oliver T added a hit and scored a
run, while Oliver C scored another run to help complete the shutout victory.

The fourth and final game of the weekend against the 13U North Bay Panthers was
unfortunately cancelled due to weather.

Overall, an incredible 3-0 weekend for the Black Sox at the Northern Showcase! 🖤⚾ A great
team effort from start to finish!
