SBMA Community grieves the loss of Ed Jordan

Soo Minor Baseball lost another great volunteer late last year with the passing of Ed Jordan.

Eddie J was a staple of our association for many years. Whether he was wearing a hat of an umpire the uniform of a coach or the professionalism of an executive member, he will always be remembered for wanting what’s best for the kids.

His mentorship was second to none, and he brought his own way of teaching to many of the local players that went on to play college baseball.
Yet he still made the time and loved teaching the house league players as well

As a senior official he thrived at being at the top of his game and making sure everyone knew how the game was supposed to be played.

And as an executive member, he held many different titles and helped keep our association moving forward in a positive light.

He will be missed dearly by many within our organization and within the community.

SMBA would like to extend our deepest condolences to Carroll, Matthew and the rest of the Jordan family for the passing of Ed Jordan
