Annual General Meeting Postponed

Soo Minor Baseball Association (SMBA) has decided to postpone the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

SMBA is currently reviewing and restructuring our governing documents to ensure they comply with the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA). ONCA establishes requirements for how Ontario not-for-profit organizations are governed, including their Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, membership, meetings, and voting procedures.

Given the importance of ensuring that our governing documents are properly structured before presenting proposed changes to the membership, the Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the Association to postpone the AGM until this review is complete and the appropriate ONCA compliant documents can be presented to our membership for consideration.

A new AGM date will be announced once it has been established.
