9U Mid Season Tournament!

Thursday evening was the start of the 9U Mid Season tournament!

Game 1 – Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation 13 VS Lou’s Automotive 5

Sault Ste. Marie Airport came out swinging, building an early lead with a relentless hitting attack and keeping the pressure on throughout the game. Lou's Automotive refused to back down, stringing together big innings of their own and rallying with timely hits to chip away at the deficit. Despite the spirited comeback effort, Sault Ste. Marie Airport held strong to secure an exciting win in a game packed with offense from both teams.

Game 2 – Level up Basketball Development 13 VS Sovereign Electric 0

Level Up Basketball Development built an early lead with consistent hitting and added to it throughout the game. Sovereign Electric continued to battle, putting runners on base and creating opportunities in several innings, but couldn't capitalize. In the end, Level Up Basketball Development earned a win in a game that featured plenty of action on the basepaths.

Friday evening the action continued

Game 3 – Superior North Electrical & Communications 4 VS Yard Smart 17

Superior North Electrical & Communications showed great determination, continuing to battle from the first pitch to the last and putting together multiple scoring rallies late in the game. Yard Smart answered with consistent offense throughout the contest to maintain the lead, but Superior North never stopped competing, making for an action-packed game that ended with a Yard Smart win.

Game 4 – Sault Tree Experts 9 VS Red Star Electric 8

Sault Tree Experts jumped out to a fast start with a four-run first inning and carried the momentum into the middle innings. Red Star Electric answered with a determined comeback, erupting for a six-run fifth inning to make it a one-run game. Despite the late rally, Sault Tree Experts held on for a thrilling 9-8 win in one of the tournament's most exciting finishes.

Bright and early Saturday morning we were back at the ballpark!

Game 5 – Soverign Electric 3 VS Lou’s Automotive 11

Sovereign Electric came out strong with an early lead, but Lou's Automotive responded with back-to-back explosive innings to take control of the game. Sovereign Electric continued to battle until the final inning, putting together one last rally, but Lou's Automotive held on to earn the win in a game that showcased resilience from both teams.

Game 6 – Superior North Electrical & Communications 12 VS Red Star Electric 15

Superior North Electrical & Communications showed tremendous resilience, battling back from an early deficit with three straight multi-run innings to erase the gap and tie the game. Red Star Electric answered with a late rally in the fifth to regain the lead, but Superior North kept putting runners on base and competed until the final out. It was an exciting back-and-forth contest, with Red Star Electric earning a hard-fought win.

Game 7 – Sault Ste Marie Airport Development Corporation 10 VS Level up Basketball Development 13

After falling behind early, Sault Ste. Marie Airport battled all the way back, using a six-run third inning to erase the deficit and tie the game. Level Up Basketball Development answered with timely hits to regain the lead, while Sault Ste. Marie Airport continued to pressure until the final inning. It was an exciting back-and-forth contest, with Level Up Basketball Development earning the win.

Game 8 – Sault Tree Experts 9 VS Yard Smart 20

Sault Tree Experts showed great determination, responding to an early deficit with a strong offensive push that produced nine runs over the first three innings. Yard Smart answered with timely hits and continued to score, extending their lead, while both teams kept the action going on the bases. Yard Smart earned the win in this fast-paced, offense-filled matchup.

Game 9 – Sault Tree Experts 12 – Lou’s Automotive 15

Sault Tree Experts and Lou’s Automotive delivered a high-scoring contest filled with constant pressure on the basepaths. Lou’s Automotive produced several big innings to build momentum early, while Sault Tree Experts answered with steady hitting and multiple rallies of their own to stay within reach. Both teams continued to compete through the final inning, with Lou’s Automotive ultimately coming away with the win in an exciting offensive matchup

Game 10 – Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation 10 VS Red Star Electric 5

Sault Ste. Marie Airport and Red Star Electric played a competitive game highlighted by strong offensive innings from both sides. Sault Ste. Marie Airport opened with a big first inning, while Red Star Electric responded with consistent pressure and multiple scoring opportunities throughout the game. Both teams continued to battle through defensive stops and timely hitting, with Sault Ste. Marie Airport ultimately securing the win in an evenly played and hard-fought matchup.

Finally, it was Sunday!

Game 11 – Yard Smart 11 VS Level up Basketball Development 10

Level Up built steady pressure with consistent contact hitting and timely runs, while Yard Smart answered with a late surge of consecutive singles that quickly brought them back into the game. Both teams kept the pressure on with aggressive baserunning and nonstop hits, trading runs right through the final innings in a back-and-forth finish defined by offense.

Game 12 - Lou’s Automotive 10 VS Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation 15

Sault Ste. Marie Airport and Lou’s Automotive played an exciting game featuring consistent hitting and active baserunning from both teams. The Airport lineup built momentum early with steady run production, while Lou’s responded throughout with timely singles to keep the game close. Both sides showed strong offensive stretches and plenty of traffic on the bases, creating a competitive and energetic final inning that capped off a well-contested matchup between two evenly matched teams.

Game 13 – Level up Basketball Development 4 VS Sault Ste, Marie Airport Development Corporation 13

Level Up Basketball Development and Sault Ste. Marie Airport delivered a competitive, back-and-forth matchup highlighted by strong hitting from both lineups. The Airport offense came out fast with early run production, while Level Up answered with key extra-base hits and timely singles to stay within striking distance. Both teams worked through momentum swings across the middle innings; trading runs and keeping the game exciting until the end. It was a well-contested game featuring consistent contact, active baserunning, and steady offensive pressure on both sides.

Championship Game! – Just as the spectators were excited for the finals, and ready to go home, the kids said NO WAY WE WANT TO PLAY and turned it into a double header!!

Game 14 – Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation 15 VS Yard Smart 14

In a high-energy, back-and-forth finish, Sault Ste. Marie Airport and Yard Smart traded offensive bursts through a fast-paced final inning. Both teams kept pressure on the defence with steady contact hitting, timely singles, and aggressive baserunning that led to constant movement on the bases. Yard Smart mounted a strong late push to close the gap, while the Airport lineup answered with consistent run production to stay ahead. The game finished as a competitive, action-filled battle where both teams showed strong offensive execution and resilience right to the final out.

Game 15 – Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation 16 VS Yard Smart 5

In the final championship battle, Sault Ste. Marie Airport and Yard Smart delivered a thrilling, high-scoring showdown from start to finish. The Airport offence came out firing early, building momentum with consistent contact hitting and timely run production, while Yard Smart responded with a relentless rally built on aggressive baserunning and clutch singles. The game was exciting as both teams kept pressure on the defence and capitalized on every opportunity. In the end, it was a fast-paced championship game defined by offensive firepower, resilience, and nonstop action on the bases.
