18U BLACK SOX SWEEP GAYLORD

Guzzo Electrical 18U Black Sox took both games of a doubleheader against the Gaylord Baseball Club in SABL (Superior Algoma Baseball League) play on Wednesday at IDA Park. The first game saw the Black Sox take a 12 - 0 victory. They scored early and often with a 5 run third inning outburst putting the game out of reach. Ty Turco picked up the victory surrendering three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out none and walking none. The Black Sox collected ten hits with Thomas Keough leading the offence with three hits and three RBI’s. Ty Turco, Zack Allard and Ryan Oliver each had two hits.
Game two saw the 18U Black Sox continue their offensive onslaught with an 11 – 5 victory. The Sox scored four runs in the bottom of the first and added three more in the bottom of the second. Lucas Carriere earned the win allowing three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three while walking three. Kolton Tremblay led the offence with a triple and a single and three RBI’s. Ty Turco chipped in with two hits.
The doubleheader sweep improved the Black Sox league record to 4 – 2 while the Gaylord Baseball Club drop to 4 – 4.
