13U A Black Sox

The 13U LaSalle Titans Tournament (Jack McCart/Ralph Hall Classic), held in LaSalle from June 26–29, 2026, featured a strong field of teams competing over an action-packed weekend of baseball. This would be the first tournament of the season for the 13U A Black Sox.

The squad opened their tournament with a dominant performance, defeating the Blenheim Bees 8–1 in Game 1. Winning pitcher Noah D’Ulisse led the way on the mound and also drove in three runs to help power the offense. Kian Yun led the team with two hits.

The Black Sox continued their strong start in Game 2 with an impressive 14–3 victory over the Kitchener Panthers. Winning pitcher Evan Hirvi delivered a strong outing, while Lincoln Rennison and Jonathan Pavoni powered the attack, each driving in multiple runs.

In Game 3, the Black Sox were edged in a close battle by Lucan-Ilderton, 7–8, in one of the most competitive games of the round. Noah D’Ulisse hit two inside-the-park home runs, including a grand slam.

In Game 4, the Black Sox rebounded with an 8–4 victory over the LaSalle Titans. Charlie Truman earned the win on the mound. Offensively, Reed Keating came up big with a double, driving in two runs.

In the Game 5 semi-final, the Soo Black Sox played against the previously undefeated Kingsville Knights. The Sox 11–4 win punched their ticket to the championship game. Jonathan Pavoni was the winning pitcher. Carter Myers led the Soo Black Sox with three hits.

The Soo Black Sox carried their momentum into the final, facing Lucan-Ilderton once again in a rematch of their earlier pool play contest. The Black Sox erupted immediately, scoring an explosive nine runs in the first inning to seize control from the outset. Noah D’Ulisse earned the win on the mound. The Black Sox never looked back, finishing the game with a commanding 17–3 win to capture the tournament title.

Head Coach Jeff Rennison expressed, "I'm very proud of how the boys played this weekend. Our bats were strong, but I was especially impressed with our pitching and defense, especially this early on in the season. The boys accepted their roles, and were successful because of it. We won as a team. The boys decided their ultimate goal is to win OBAs at the Rep A level. This was a great first step to achieving that goal. Great job boys."

The 13U A Soo Black Sox travel next to London for the July 17th weekend to compete at the London Talons Tournament.
