The 11U Soo Selects put on an impressive display this past weekend at the Forest Glade Summer Showdown in Windsor, Ontario—a tournament dedicated to select-level competition. With a 2-1 record in round-robin play, the Selects advanced to the quarterfinals on Sunday morning, showcasing continued growth, resilience, and teamwork throughout the event.

Game 1: Soo Selects 9 – West London TinCaps 7
The tournament kicked off with a thrilling 9-7 win over the West London TinCaps. Strong pitching performances from Cole Suurna, Hunter Rooley, and Lucas Farand anchored the defense, while Cole Suurna led the offense with three hits. Lucas Farand and Oliver Holtom each added two hits to help secure the victory.

Game 2: Southwest London Scorpions 12 – Soo Selects 2
In their second matchup, the Selects faced a tough Southwest London Scorpions squad. Despite the 12-2 loss, JP Bychko sparked the offense with two hits, and Rowan McLaughlin, Reed Kneulman, and Oliver Holton delivered solid efforts on the mound.
